Opere Di Giuseppe Verdi In Ordine Cronologico

A Chronology of Giuseppe, Fortunino, and Francesco Verdi's Lives (xxxx) Musician and composer, he was born in Roncole (Busseto) in 1813 and died in Milan in 1901. From a humble family, he shown an early interest for music; his first teacher was the venerable organist Baistrocchi, who was later succeeded by Podresi, who directed a music school in Busseto. The progression was rapid: within a few of years, Verdi was leading his country's band and writing his first compositions. Verdi presented himself to the esami in 1832 to be admitted to the Conservatorio di Milano, but was rejected due to his lack of musical aptitude; Verdi then studied with Lavigna, maestro concertatore della Scala ed operista, dedicandosi allo studio dei classici della musica. Returning to Busseto in 1835, he composes the opera Oberto Conte di San Bonifacio and marries Margherita Barezzi, from whom he has two children; in 1838, at the height of his paesan life, he relocates to Milano.

Verdi's 1840 litografia:

On the afternoon of 30 June, a modest funeral car transported2 her body to Milan's Cimitero Monumentale to be buried in a provvisoria tomb; a month later, in an official and moving ceremony in which Toscanini sang the âVa pensieroâ with a choir of 900 singers, the Verdi salme were buried.

Giuseppina, all'inizio del settembre del 1849, arriv2 a Busseto con I suoi affari sistemati a Firenze. It was a historic moment when Verdi's carrozza came to a halt 2 in front of the palazzo Dordoni: the stunned and scandalized astanti, as well as the oziosi under the portico, compelled him to mount and enter the house in the company of an unknown woman. Close the door, and Busseto became a pettegolezzo for the next twenty years. Among other things, Busseto was able to continue working on the Sant'Agata property. This property, located three or four kilometers outside of Busseto, becomes his and Giuseppina's permanent residence for the remainder of their lives. Una nuova stabilità e tranquillità, dopo le tentazioni, incerti o frenetici passi degli ultimi anni.

In 1836, he won the Busseto municipality's music competition and married the daughter of his benefactor, Margherita Barezzi, from whom he had two children: Virginia and Icilio.

Secure employment and a fixed salary did not satisfy Verdi's milanese yearnings, and he returned to Milano with his family. Finally, in 1840, Verdi was able to produce his first opera, Oberto Conte di San Bonifacio, at the Teatro alla Scala, which met with considerable success. However, a period of great sadness and difficulty begins at this point: the children die first, followed by Margherita, to whom Verdi was deeply attached; precisely at this point, he was commissioned to write a comic opera, Un giorno di regno, which, when staged, reveals itself to be a cocente and clamoroso fiasco.
