Qatar Airways Airbus AFirst Class

The compact cabin has an open, large sense due to the absence of fully enclosed suites, like on Emirates and Etihad's A380s. The cabin's décor is quite stunning, with a palette of peaceful colors that work nicely together: pink (cushions, television screens), beige (seats), and brown (wood panels). There are eight seats distributed in a 1-2-1 layout over two rows, with each seat having direct aisle access. The four First Class seats on the sides are good for single passengers (each seat has three windows with wonderful views), while the four seats in the center are ideal for flying with a partner. However, if you are a solitary traveler and find yourself in one of the center seats, there is no need to worry since you can raise a barrier for more privacy. A small bar (with snacks, nuts, bottled water, and juices) is located at the front of the cabin, as is a library (with magazines), two restrooms, and the steps to the lower deck. Qatar Airways Children's Menu

Qatar also provides a kid lunch. The meal is served in its own lunch box and is geared at children. The lunches on our four flights varied somewhat but included sandwiches, mac & cheese, chicken spaghetti, fruit, chips, cookies, cake, and juice. There was obviously more junk food than I like, but it wasnât a daily event, so I wasnât concerned.

Qatar Airways' economy class was rated the world's best in 2009 and 2010. Qatar Airways' economy class customers have a maximum seat pitch of 34 inches. Individual seat-back television displays are available to economy class passengers on A330 aircraft. On Airbus A350, A380, Boeing 777, and 787 aircraft, passengers are provided touch-screen in-flight entertainment devices. Qatar Airways has already taken possession of numerous A320 family aircraft equipped with personal TVs in each economy class seat. The IFE has the same Thales entertainment system as the widebody fleet. Four further A321s and two A319LRs, as well as future A320 family aircraft deliveries, will be outfitted with the new IFE.

Qatar Airways does not provide middle seats in Business Class, and passengers in window seats on 2-2-2 configurations may easily walk over a companion's foot room to access the aisle.

Couples traveling together should choose center seats, which nearly usually provide some privacy due to the need to bend forward to view each other.
