Tequila Clase Azul Plata Precio

I'm reluctant to assign a numerical value to this since I've never tasted a blanco before. My only prior experience has been with aejos and a few reposados, so this was a whole new universe for me. If forced to choose, I'd say 8 or 9/10. It left little to be desired in terms of taste and had a nose I could gladly enjoy all day, but it is more than twice the price of a bottle I would normally purchase. However, the bottle is worth purchasing on its own merits as a work of art and a terrific discussion piece. I'm not knowledgeable enough about blancos to say for certain, but I believe I'm receiving near to twice the pleasure from this bottle as opposed to a $40 bottle. I have no remorse. We appreciate you taking the time to read my first review!

You'll want to serve the Clase Azul at room temperature. Even the Plata is not a bottle that should be refrigerated. Serving at room temperature lets this energy to show through without being masked by the cooler environment. Additionally, it is one that does not need ice. When sipping Clase Azul, you will never get the cliched tequila burn, which implies that it is best enjoyed neat. While you may make the most of mixers while drinking tequila, you run the risk of disguising the bottle's distinct characteristics.

Tequila Clase Azul Reposado is aged in deep char oak barrels for at least eight months, imparting further complexity while retaining the Plata's quirky sweetness. Here, the sweetness gives way to a vanilla note, more reminiscent of crème brulee than of the Plata's candy bar. This adds some subtlety to the mild pepper notes, but not much: The syrupy overtones stay overpowering â and I am typically a lover of sweeter tequilas â leaving you with another mouth-coating finish that will have you reaching for the salty bar mix. -/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/ [PURCHASE NOW AT CASKERS] Reposado Tequila Clase Azul $90 7 7.0/10

I'm never sure what to make of beautiful tequila bottles such as this one. They're visually arresting, but I always get the impression that they're concealing something behind a slew of glass, metal, and ceramic. Perhaps my suspicions are justified in the case of Clase Azul, a very pricey and distinctive tequila that pushed the limits of my tequila taste dictionary. While this brand is admired by many tequila enthusiasts, I find the sweetness of the house style to be excessive. This 100% agave Highlands tequila is created from organic agave plants that are 9 to 10 years old and is twice distilled in copper alembic stills.
